I grew up near Lake Michigan, and as long as I can remember I was involved in boating; whether it was power boating, jet skiing, sailing, or deep sea fishing. Eventually, I left for the mountains of Colorado where I enjoyed mountain biking, camping, whitewater rafting, rock and ice climbing.

 

My love of the water and boating was calling me back and while on a anniversary trip with my wife, in the Caribbean, we were struck by the magic of traveling by sailboat which lead us to chartering sailboats and learning all we could before eventually going cruising when we retired. We soon realized we couldn’t wait for retirement and decide to take a 3 year sail-bbatical. We landed our dreamboat in San Diego and almost 4 years later we are still living on our boat. We sailed thousands of miles while making memories and friendships in the most amazing places, sailing up and down the Pacific Coast of Mexico and Central America.
