Chris was introduced to sailing by his father at an early age, and his family cruised primarily in England, Europe, and the Caribbean.

When his family moved to San Diego in 1980, Chris caught the racing bug and began to actively campaign in the Santana 20 Class. Later, he started crewing and skippering boats in the IOR, MORC, and PHRF Fleets. Since then, Chris has racked up 13 National titles, 6 North American Championships, and placed at several World Championship events. He placed second in class in the 2023 Transpac as tactician along with numerous Newport to Ensenada and other coastal race wins.

In 2002, he was awarded the San Diego Association of Yacht Clubs, ‘Yachtsman of the Year’, and was awarded ‘Sailor of the Year’ in Seattle in 2006. He is an active member of Southwestern and Mission Bay Yacht Clubs and skippered the 2023 Lipton Cup Challenge team for Southwestern Yacht Club.

Chris has been involved in the marine industry for over thirty years and has been in Yacht Sales for the last seven, regionally and globally. While he specializes in performance racing and cruising yachts, he has been involved in the sale of many powerboats big and small. His extensive experience allows his clients to rest assured that they are being represented by a true professional.
