Overview

Set sail on the adventure of a lifetime with Aquavit, a luxurious sailing catamaran designed for comfort and safety. Built in 1997 by Fountaine Pajot, Aquavit boasts four spacious cabins, each with a queen-size bed, and a bathroom in each hull ensuring ample space and privacy for your family and friends.

Aquavit is engineered to roam in luxury and safety. The hull and deck are molded together, and the hulls have a sandwiched construction with closed-cell foam, making the boat unsinkable. The hulls below water are solid FRP, and there are two full-height watertight bulkheads in each hull. Engineered for extended cruising in remote locations, this yacht is loaded with lithium batteries, solar, water maker, generator, and 10 years of spare parts. Special features of the design aimed for use in hot climates include the overhang of the cabin roof, which cuts out the direct rays of the sun from hitting the windows, and prevents the greenhouse effect from raising the interior temperature. This is combined with ten wide opening hatches around the salon, plus hatches in the sides of the hulls, to give excellent ventilation in the hottest of conditions. The sail plan is designed for ease of handling, with a big main, but small, self tacking jib with no overlap.
