With her long foredeck, graceful deckhouse, and massive cockpit the Hatteras 60 Convertible (note that an earlier Hatteras 60 was built in 1977–86) was an impressive display of boat-building excellence by the standards of her day. She rides on a beefy modified-V hull with cored hullsides, propeller tunnels, and a deep
keel. At least eight floorplans were offered in the 60—far more than any previous Hatteras convertible. The standard layout, updated in 2003, is arranged with three staterooms with the owner’s cabin amidships and a spacious VIP stateroom at the bow. Regardless of the floorplan configuration, these are lush accommodations
indeed for a sportfishing boat. On deck, the huge cockpit of the Hatteras 60 is fitted with a full array of fishing amenities.
