Bravo's History
Bravo has a long, rich history. She first splashed in July 1976 as a fishing cruiser for a Greek millionaire. It was later named Cygnet Explorer and in 2008 was once again renamed, to Bravo.
In 1997, she was sent to McMullen And Wing in New Zealand where she was stripped to her aluminum hull, extended to 100ft, and fitted with an entirely new superstructure, machinery, interior, and systems - all designed by renowned naval architect Bill Tripp. After the completion of the extensive refit, she was given a new HIN, reflecting the 1997 completion year. After the New Zealand refit, she sailed under her own power back to North America.
Subsequent refits occurred in 2008, 2013/14, including upgrades to mechanical, electrical, running gear, furniture, and interiors. The hard top on the flybridge was installed in 2013. She again had a complete interior refit in 2020/2022, as well as major systems refit in 2022/25.
Interior finishes include ancient New Zealand Kauri wood throughout the salon and dining area. This wood is unique in that it is no long available for harvesting.
