THE TONK TUG is a classic single diesel trawler with an economical Ford Lehman engine and Stern Thruster! She has a nice screened enclosure surrounding the trunk cabin and a bimini on the bridge, and two helm stations for cruising in any weather conditions. She would make a great live-aboard and/or coastal cruising vessel!!
Topsides: Full forward is a single stainless steel (s-s) bow roller with one anchor controlled by a horizontal electric anchor windlass with “Up/Down” foot controls. The windlass sits on a raised teak platform. There is a single s-s bow rail with a teak rail that runs aft to gates, port and starboard, and around the stern. The vessel also has a teak cap rail. The decks are painted fiberglass with a non-skid additive. The forward deck rises to the lower deckhouse which has an aluminum and acrylic hatch, a plastic dorade vent and teak handrails. There are walking side decks on both sides from the bow to the aft deck/cockpit. The deck then rises to the main deckhouse with the flybridge above. Full aft is a flat deck/cockpit area with an opening aft rail for access to the fiberglass swim platform. In the floor is a hatch for access to the lazarette which has the steering gear and water tanks. At the forward end of this cockpit area is a door leading to the aft cabin and stairs leading to the upper deck. The upper deck has a marine grade canvas bimini, a full marine grade mesh enclosure and loose chairs. Moving forward and up two steps is the flybridge which has a helm station, forward, with a teak wheel, manual engine controls, engine instruments, electronics and storage lockers. Aft of the helm are padded bench seats facing both forward and aft. The flybridge area is covered by a folding bimini and has a s-s radar mast and s-s dinghy lifting boom.
Below Decks: Full forward is a chain locker followed a “V” berth and filler piece with drawers, storage and a small seat below. Aft of the berth, to port, is a large hanging locker and to starboard is a head. The head has a laminate countertop, a s-s sink, a manual toilet, a hand shower, a mirrored medicine cabinet, a teak grate floor and storage lockers. Moving aft and up three steps, to port, is the galley which has a laminate countertop, a s-s sink, a three-burner propane stove and oven, a below-counter AC/DC refrigerator with a freezer compartment, multiple drawers and cabinets. To starboard is the lower helm with a teak wheel, manual engine controls, engine instruments, electronics, electrical switches and the electrical panel. Aft of the helm is a storage locker and drawers followed by an “L” shaped settee with storage below and a pedestal-mounted teak table. Across from the settee, to port, is a small settee, storage locker and a microwave oven. Aft and down two steps is the primary cabin which has a hanging locker to starboard followed by a double berth with storage outboard. To port is the second head with a laminate countertop, ss sink, electric toilet, storage locker, mirrored medicine cabinet and a small bathtub/shower. Aft of the head, to port, is a small seat and a storage locker. In the center, aft, are stairs to a door leading to the aft deck. The engine is located below the main salon.
